While carbon dioxide (CO2) is the most publicized of the GHG to be reduced or sequestered, GDT prioritizes the permanent reduction of high GWP GHGs that have multiples more global warming effect than CO2; namely methane gas (CH4) which has 28.9 times the GWP of CO2, Nitrous Oxide (N2O) which has 273 times the GWP of CO2, and hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) which have hundreds to thousands the GWP of CO2. GDT is initially focused on CH4 and N2O reduction.

GDT’s approach to reducing high GWP GHG is proactive in nature. Rather than attempting to sequester the emission after it reaches the atmosphere, GDT focuses on the much more cost effective and efficient reduction of the GHGs prior to emission or immediately before its creation or release.

GDT’s macro scale initiatives will place it among the handful of world companies capable of reducing over a billion metric tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent. GDT has a centralizing goal of operational excellence and execution of scale facilities capable of preventing 10 to 15 million annual CO2e metric tonnes per facility. To achieve such goals, GDT layers multiple complementary technologies at a facility campus. Once a campus is established, GDT expands the facility’s capabilities by joining with local and global partners to further augment the total high GWP GHG capable of being reduced and sequestered in the region.
